Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet them until after you hire them.

Different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires a lot of work. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort and experience.

I have spent my whole life in the North Florida area being active in the housing industry and the charitable community. Many know me and my construction work as the founding Executive Director of the charitable building organization Builders Care. I have been married to the same lady over thirty years and raised three children in Jacksonville. Having stepped down as Executive Director of Builders Care, I have entered the next phase of my life which is using  the experience and skills gained over a life time to help others with their home purchase decisions and to protect children from lead poisoning.  I tell you these personal things so that you may get a feel for the stability and integrity of who you are hiring.
